These diverse clinical applications allow for the objective and quantitative analysis of load distribution, pressure points, movement asymmetries, and rolling behavior. This aids in identifying foot deformities or functional limitations in the lower extremities.
Minimally Invasive SPML Surgery
This specialized method has increasingly gained traction in the field of operative gait-improving procedures over recent years. Its popularity and appeal are largely due to the very low complication rate and the gentle postoperative recovery. The minimal wound area and limited impact on the musculature further contribute to the method's low risk of complications. This has a positive effect on joint mobility and the spasticity of the agonist muscles.
The procedure involves making a small skin incision and using a specialized tenotome to sever fibrotic parts of the muscle as well as connective tissue bridges. This improves the stretchability of the treated muscles. The musculature itself is not completely severed, and tendons as well as associated bones remain untouched. Additionally, nerves and vascular structures in the area are preserved with this surgical technique.
My practice operates as a private practice without a contract with health insurance providers. Patients are initially considered private patients and must cover the costs of medical services provided by the physician themselves.
The detailed invoice can then be submitted to the respective health insurance provider. Typically, up to 80% of the amount that a contracted physician would receive for the same services is reimbursed to the patient. The exact reimbursement amount depends on the respective health insurance provider, as tariff agreements vary by federal state.
Any remaining costs or even the entire invoice can, of course, also be covered through supplementary insurance.
If surgery or a hospital stay is necessary for your child, I will personally perform the operation at the Privatklinik Döbling. Registration and all necessary preparations will be organized directly by my practice for you.
Referrals for the required preoperative examinations (blood tests, X-rays, and surgical clearance by a pediatrician) will be provided during your visit to my practice or can also be completed directly at the Privatklinik Döbling.
If surgery or a hospital stay is necessary for your child, I will personally perform the operation at the Wiener Privatklinik. Registration and all necessary preparations will be organized directly by my practice for you.
Referrals for the required preoperative examinations (blood tests, X-rays, and surgical clearance by a pediatrician) will be provided during your visit to my practice or can also be completed directly at the Wiener Privatklinik.
Don't worry! Head asymmetries are not uncommon. I will examine your child's head to rule out any medical consequences and will, of course, advise you on the next steps.

No, Dr. Scheibl is a private doctor. Billing is done on an invoice basis. A portion of the treatment costs will be reimbursed by your statutory health insurance. Remaining costs can also be submitted to any existing supplementary insurance.
